Minutes for each 1 km run. A line that climbs is a field slowing down. Run 1 reads short here (3:40 against about 5:10 for runs 2 to 7), because of where the timing mats sit, so the fair pacing test is run 2 against run 7. The typical finisher ran run 7 3% faster than run 2; the fastest 25%, 2% faster.
